Anatomy Blockout Challenge

Learn how to bring anatomy into your character blockouts without getting buried in muscle names and medical diagrams.

In this challenge, I walk through a practical approach to anatomy for stylized character artists. The focus is on learning what to look for during the blockout stage, so you can build stronger male and female body types from the beginning instead of trying to “fix” the anatomy later.

Rather than memorizing every individual muscle, we’ll keep things high-level and usable. You’ll learn how to think in terms of major muscle groups, simplified forms, landmarks, proportions, and shape relationships. Most of the anatomy is discussed in the same way people often talk about the body when working out: pecs, delts, traps, lats, abs, quads, calves, and so on.

Inside the challenge, you’ll get:

• 3 hours of anatomy blockout training
• 3 hours of live feedback replay from the original challenge
• Male and female body type breakdowns
• Practical tips for spotting anatomy problems early
• Guidance on simplifying anatomy for stylized characters
• Bonus: George Zaky doing an anatomy blockout in Blender

This is designed for intermediate artists who already understand the basics of sculpting, but want their character blockouts to feel more believable, appealing, and structurally sound.

The goal is not to turn you into an anatomy textbook. The goal is to help you make better decisions while blocking out the figure, so your characters have stronger proportions, clearer forms, and a better foundation for refinement.
